Parents are their children’s first teachers. Parents are Teachers is a program designed to show parents how to maximize time spent with their children.
It is commonly agreed that one-on-one time spent between parents and their children is important for child development. However, did you know that the typical busy parent spends an average of 30 minutes per week one-on-one with their child? Participants of this program will learn how to turn every day activities into teachable moments for their children. Seemingly mundane activities such as grocery shopping, laundry and cooking care ripe for introducing children to new vocabulary and experiences.
Parents will learn Leap Language Techniques and additional book reading activities to do with their children. This program can supplement any early childhood program, or be delivered in one or several sessions to a group of parents.
